This comprehensive four-year programme begins with a Foundation Year, offering an alternative pathway to university education and degree attainment.
This option suits those without the required qualifications or those who feel unprepared for university-level studies. It's also beneficial if you're returning to education and need support in adapting to a university learning environment.
The Business Foundation Year enhances your academic abilities, builds confidence, and introduces vital concepts, discussions, and skills that will underpin your subsequent undergraduate years.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, you'll seamlessly transition to Year 1 of our International Business BA (Honours) degree.
This International Business degree has been uniquely developed to prepare you for the modern day business environment.
Throughout your Foundation Year, you will engage in modules designed to bolster your academic prowess and furnish you with the necessary tools for confident studying. An individual project will enable you to delve into an area of personal interest aligned with your chosen future subject specialisation.
You will be introduced to the fundamental tenets of business operations and management, delving into the inception of enterprises, as well as the core principles of marketing.
Upon the successful culmination of the Foundation Year, you will seamlessly transition into the initial year of our Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in International Business.
This course will provide you with a solid grounding in the fundamental underpinnings of business, marketing, and accounting, with a comprehensive exploration of each from a global perspective.
The objective of this degree is to nurture the skills essential for your evolution into a future business leader. You will acquire insights into the mechanisms behind international corporate functioning, adeptly managing and communicating with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, you will master the art of product development, adaptation, and international market promotion.
The modules you will study will afford you the chance to focus on specific countries and regions, dissecting business practices and cultural nuances across various corners of the world. You will delve into the motivations and methods driving companies toward internationalisation, delving deeply into industries that pique your interest. Foundation Year
During your Foundation Year, you will study four core modules:

(4) Starting a Business and Fundamentals of Marketing
Each term, you will study one module from each of these four categories.
Year 1
During your first year, you'll study four core modules:
(1) Marketing Fundamentals
(2) Principles of Accounting and Finance
(3) People and Organisations
(4) Globalisation and Social Justice
Year 2

During your second year, you'll study four core modules:
(1) Global Business Environment
(2) Professional Development and Placement
(3) Business Research and Analytics
(4) International Business Strategies
Year 3

During your final year, you'll study two core modules, and you will be required to choose two option modules:
(1) Global Supply Chain Management (Core)
(2) Professional Learning and Practice (Core)
(3) International Marketing (Option)
(4) Creative Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Option)
(5) Contemporary Issues in Sustainability (Option)
(6) Project Management (Option)
(7) Money, Banking and Finance (Option)

Applicants should have GCSE English Language at grade C/4 or higher or accepted equivalent qualification and a level 3 qualification equivalent to an A level.
Applications are welcome from mature students with few or no formal qualifications. These applications will be assessed based on any previous relevant work experience or learning, an interview, a written task and an English proficiency test.
This course is not available to students on a Student Route Visa.

Following review of your application by ABA, information will be shared with Leeds Trinity University who will contact you with final confirmation of a decision on your application.
We have developed this degree course in such a way that all our graduates become work ready, and fully prepared to embark on a career of their choosing. We recognise that people want to progress at different rates, and that certain career pathways have different levels of entry. For example, accountancy requires a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA etc.) as well as a degree.
To support you in achieving your goals, our career development team will work with you to identify the right course of action for you. In some cases, it means getting straight into employment, after finishing the programme with us. In other cases, this might mean work with on-the-job further study (e.g. trainee accountant). Others may require study at Level 7 (Master’s), or even Level 8 (PhD or DPhil).

You may be eligible for a student loan to cover the cost of tuition fees, or a maintenance loan. Additional funding is available to some types of students, such as those with dependants and disabled students.
UK & EU Students (with settled status): Tuition fees cost £9,250 a year for this course in 2023/2024. Depending on government policy, tuition fees may rise with inflation in future years. Living costs, e.g. travel, food, will also need to be taken into consideration. Support maybe available to help with this cost. English and EU students can apply and find out more on the Student Finance section of the gov.uk website. When you apply for your student loan you will need to supply the correct UCAS code for your course of study. This code will depend on your study location, course and start date (see table below) and will be sent to you in any offer email you receive from Leeds Trinity University.
