The Senior Leadership Team are responsible for leading on their own function at ABA whilst also being responsible for high-level goals of the organisation as a whole.
The team is responsible for the initial stages of the Student Lifecycle from generating interest and leads to support applicants and admitting individuals to their eligible programme of study.
The Registry team is the record keeper of student information and of both, programme and module details on behalf of ABA. The team is also responsible for the following processes:
• Enrolments, Assessments & Boards
• Academic calendar information
• Academic misconduct
• Extenuating & Mitigating Circumstances
The purpose of Student Services is to be the 'one stop shop' for all student enquiries throughout their lifecycle from point of enrolment to graduation and beyond. We believe in empowering our staff and students at the Academy. Each student will be assigned to their own officer upon enrolment. They will act as their first point of contact for any matters they wish to discuss, whether this may be relevant to their programme of studies, a particular experience, or any enquiry or support they may require.
Alongside the above, the student services team also provides services including the following:
• Mental Health & Wellbeing
• Disability & Individual support
• Careers & Employability Information, Advice & Guidance
• Student Voice & Representation
• Induction & Graduation Ceremonies
• Events & Workshops
The IT support team is responsible for troubleshooting any on-site and off-site IT related concerns for all members of ABA. The team is also heavily involved in the set-up of accounts on various platforms including Microsoft Office and ABA's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
The Student Finance team is readily available to assist on any enquiries and concerns relevant to individual applications made by applicants and returning students with Student Finance England.
The Academics at ABA range from Programme Leaders to Lecturers. They are responsible for teaching students, providing appropriate academic support, marking and providing feedback for relevant assessments.
The Learning & Library Resources team is responsible for guiding students to locate appropriate materials for their programme including those for research purposes. The team is at hand to assist on submission enquiries
The Placements team is responsible in ensuring any student at ABA is supported through means of useful information, advice and guidance relevant to sourcing work placements and the necessary stages that require completion as mandatory. The team works closely with Academics & Student Services to deliver workshops and useful events regularly.
Providing assurance by scrutinising the quality and standards of the provision and student academic experience, contributing to and overseeing improvements accordingly. Quality actively contributes to and monitors the planning and delivery of associated actions for improvement on an annual basis.
Responsibility of ensuring all members of ABA inc. visitors and partners are provided with a high standard of customer service and the on-site facilities are appropriately functioning, health and safety is prioritised and the environment is meeting expectations.
The department is responsible for all employment and hiring procedures including Safer Recruitment.
The Compliance team is responsible for ensuring ABA remains compliant with external requirements across a range of sector areas. This is done through awareness raising across the institution, reviewing and monitoring relevant policies and publications, and providing training, information and advice.
