This option suits those without the required qualifications or those who feel unprepared for university-level studies. It's also beneficial if you're returning to education and need support in adapting to a university learning environment.

The Business Foundation Year enhances your academic abilities, builds confidence, and introduces vital concepts, discussions, and skills that will underpin your subsequent undergraduate years.

Upon successful completion of the Foundation Year, you'll seamlessly transition to Year 1 of our International Business BA (Honours) degree.

Learning and Teaching‍
This International Business course integrates theory and practice. As such, teaching methods are designed to be diverse, and inclusive and to reflect the global context in which you will operate upon graduating. Methods include face-to-face, blended and independent learning, through a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops, work-based learning, real-world projects and discussion forums.

Upon the successful culmination of the Foundation Year, you will seamlessly transition into the initial year of our Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in International Business.

This course will provide you with a solid grounding in the fundamental underpinnings of business, marketing, and accounting, with a comprehensive exploration of each from a global perspective.

The objective of this degree is to nurture the skills essential for your evolution into a future business leader. You will acquire insights into the mechanisms behind international corporate functioning, adeptly managing and communicating with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, you will master the art of product development, adaptation, and international market promotion.

The modules you will study will afford you the chance to focus on specific countries and regions, dissecting business practices and cultural nuances across various corners of the world. You will delve into the motivations and methods driving companies toward internationalisation, delving deeply into industries that pique your interest. We recognise that people want to progress at different rates, and that certain career pathways have different levels of entry. For example, accountancy requires a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA etc.) as well as a degree.

In some cases, it means getting straight into employment, after finishing the programme with us. In other cases, this might mean work with on-the-job further study (e.g. trainee accountant). Duration options, fees And Funding

You may be eligible for a student loan to cover the cost of tuition fees, or a maintenance loan. Additional funding is available to some types of students, such as those with dependants and disabled students.

UK & EU Students (with settled status): Tuition fees cost £9,250 a year for this course in 2023/2024. Depending on government policy, tuition fees may rise with inflation in future years. Living costs, e.g. travel, food, will also need to be taken into consideration. Support maybe available to help with this cost.
